Dignity of Workers
DIGNITY OF WORKERS
The economy must serve people, not the other way around. Work is more than a way to make a living; it is a form of continuing participation in God’s creation. To uphold the dignity of work, the basic rights of workers must be respected — the right to productive work, to fair and liveable wages, and to organize and join a union.

Enterprise Week and Careers Day
Our recent Careers Day was a wonderful example of Catholic Social Teaching in action, helping children to recognise the dignity of work and the value of every worker. Through meeting professionals from a wide range of careers, pupils learned that all work, when carried out with care and service, contributes to the good of society and reflects God’s call for each person to use their gifts and talents.
