Careers and Enrichment with ASCAT

Support Careers & Enrichment with ASCAT

We are proud to work in partnership with employers, professionals, parents, governors and our wider community to help prepare our students for their future careers and gain access to cultural and social capital.

Careers education plays a vital role in raising aspirations, building confidence and developing the skills young people need to succeed in further education, training and employment. By sharing your experience and insights, you can make a real and lasting difference to students’ understanding of the world of work.

We are inviting external volunteers, parents and carers from all schools within the Trust, members of staff, governors and their wider professional networks to register their interest in supporting careers-related learning opportunities and other enrichment experiences.
Why Get Involved?

Supporting careers education can benefit both students and volunteers:

  • Inspire young people by sharing real-life career journeys and experiences

  • Help students develop employability skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving

  • Raise awareness of a wide range of career pathways, including apprenticeships, university and vocational routes

  • Strengthen links between schools and the local community and employers

  • Provide opportunities to give back and support the next generation

  • Enhance organisational social value and community engagement

Ways You Could Support

Volunteers may be invited to contribute in a variety of ways, including:

  • Careers talks or assemblies

  • Mock interviews and assessment centre activities

  • Workplace visits or hosting events

  • Mentoring or small group sessions

  • Participation in careers fairs or subject-focused events

  • Sponsorship or financial support for careers or other enrichment activities

  • Fund/facilitate education related trips or activities

If you are interested in supporting our Trust, please complete the Volunteer Registration Form. This will help us match your skills, experience and availability with suitable opportunities throughout the academic year.
Together, we can help our students to aim high, make informed choices and build successful futures.
