World Book Day 2021

St Bernadette Virtual Library Launch!

Please see the link below to explore our new virtual library!  There are lots of books for the children to enjoy just by simply clicking on the book cover.  Each book takes you to a video link of the story being read aloud - there's even a few celebrity guest readers!

The Virtual Library is something that we would like to grow and add to over time to provide even more opportunities for children to share and enjoy a range of books.  Look out for updates!

The Masked Reader

The staff at St Bernadette just love to share stories with the children but on this World Book Day, we look and sound a little bit different!  We hope you enjoy listening to these stories and trying to guess who is behind the mask!

Reading Newsletters

September 2020 saw the launch of the first edition of the St Bernadette Reading Newsletter.  Further editions are released at the end of each term with book recommendations, reading across the school and other items to share and promote a love of reading.  Please check them out below!

World Book Day 2020

We celebrated World Book Day in style in St. Bernadette! Everyone enjoyed the fun-packed day from World Book Day Parade, parent-child reading sessions, drama, art, baking, newspaper reports and poetry based on the classes' book choice. See below for some of the fabulous photos from the day - you might even spot some photos of the teacher dressed up as their favourite book character:
