School Mission Statement

Monday 11th January

Hello everyone,

I hope you have had a lovely weekend. Here are the Home Learning Activities for today. Please upload the evidence of these tasks being completed onto Tapestry so that Miss Broom and I can see all the lovely work you have been doing!

This week we are looking at the Traditional Tale: 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.

Phonics/Literacy:

Read the story ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears.’ If you have a copy at home then please read this to your child, otherwise this is a link to the story on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oUP2PFeOi8  Talk about the story with your child. What was their favourite part, why? Should Goldilocks have done what she did? How would you feel if you were one of the bears?

Maths:
Get out a pack of oats (or cereal) and pour some into a container and place on a scale. Can your child read the scale and, with support, read what number it is. Then pour more onto the scale. What happens to the number, does it get bigger or smaller? So is it getting heavier or lighter?
(Keep these oats or your cereal safe ready to use tomorrow!)

Other (EAD, PD)
Use junk modelling resources to build a chair, bed or bowl.

Please let me know if you have any problems accessing the work.
Best wishes,

Miss Webb
