Monday 1st March
Here are the Home Learning tasks for today. Please upload any evidence of these tasks being completed onto Tapestry for me to see!
Follow the link to hear the story 'Room on the Broom' being read https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uQulEnxsRo. After you have heard the story, discuss what parts of the story they liked and whether there were any parts they did not like. Who in the story was their favourite character and why?
Task 2 (Literacy):
In the story, the witch is shown on her broomstick with a special magic cauldron! At the end of the story, the witch creates a spell to get herself a new broomstick. If you could write a spell, to make any of your wishes come true, what would you wish for? Write a sentence to explain what you magic spell would do. After, you could draw a picture of your wish!
Task 3 (Maths):
For this task you will need some paper (either plain white paper or coloured paper). In the paper, cut out some different 2D shapes to help you make your own paper witch's face! You may need an adult to support with this! The witch's can only be made out of different shapes. See the photo attached (called Witch Ideas) for what this could look like.
Task 4 (Other):
I have attached a document of a science experiment on making a potion! Follow the steps and watch the magic happen! If you do not have the ingredients for this, then do Task 5 instead.
Task 5 (Optional):
Make your own magic wand using junk modelling! You could use chopstick, a stick from outside and decorate it with ribbons, paint, glitter, paper- whatever you have at home! I have attached some instructions, but feel free to experiment yourself.
Let me know if there are any problems accessing the work!
