School Mission Statement

8.6.20

Hello again everyone! Hope you and your families are keeping safe and well ๐Ÿ˜Š

Activity 1

This week start your learning by imagining you are going to travel to the moon in a rocket ship. Watch attached Astronaut travelling to the moon ppt and https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch/stargazing-bluepeter-astronaut and discuss.

What would you take with you? What are your favourite things? What do you need? Use the attached writing frame to record list of things to take – If your child would like you to scribe their mark making, annotate your child’s mark making ie Ask your child what each item is on the list and write in small print above your child’s mark making. See article below re mark making.

Activity 2

Practise recognising numbers to 10. Start with numbers your child is most familiar with ie their age – they will have seen 3 or 4 on their birthday cards so it is more meaningful. Pin numbers up around your home and play a game where your child has to find each number – Use attached numbers with pictorial clue for each number if needed.

Activity 3

Practise writing numbers – Adult to model each number first. Use rhyme below to help. Use attached number formation sheet to practise numbers afterwards – repeat over writing each number with different colours.

Activity 4

Can your child carefully cut around the differentt parts of an astronaut to make a split pin astronaut using attached sheet. What can your astronaut do? Have fun!

Don’t forget to share your learning through Tapestry! Stay well and keep safe ๐Ÿ˜Š
