Harvest Festival 2016
On Thursday 20th October 2016, the children of St Bernadette School dedicated the afternoon to entertaining invited guests to a 'Harvest Communitea'. The day began with our Harvest Mass, celebrated by Fr Dominic and ended with the children from Reception through to year 6 performing the various Harvest songs they had been learning in their lessons. The festival was brought to an end by our school choir who performed a fantastic rendition of 'Let it be' by the Beatles and was compered by our Faith Leaders, who gave Dermot O'Leary a run for his money.
After the entertainment, the year 6 children served our invited guests tea, coffee and a variety of cakes and biscuits. Each guest left with a bag of goodies from our harvest collection while the remaining food went to our local food bank.
It was a truly magical afternoon that brought the school and wider community together to highlight a very important cause.
